This film follows a pilgrimage of the community returning to their ancestral land of Pëkëya on the border between Ecuador and Peru in the Amazon basin, which they were forced to flee during the Ecuador and Peru war in the 1940s. Specifically this film is about the importance of their ancestral food sources which are endemic to this specific region. The mission of their pilgrimage is to collect the seeds of their ancestral foods and bring them back to reforest their current territory which has been ravaged by the ever increasing palm oil and mining industries. It is also to teach and pass down the knowledge of the elders to the younger generation so that it is not lost forever.
